When Crepe City, the UK's Number 1 Sneaker Festival, and Ropes Laces, the market-leading shoe lace brand, came together to collaborate for the third time, we saw an opportunity to push the boundaries of sneaker-related accessories. As designer for both parties, I had full creative control over the ideas and output. With the event being held just ten days after Back to the Future day (October 21 2015), we paid homage to the film and the infamous Nike Mag with a lace set based upon the 2011 charity-released shoe, including three sets of themed laces, two pins, a keyring and the beautiful yellow, radioactive magnetic packaging.
